Day 1

São Paulo

Our journey on the Green Coast Road begins in São Paulo, the city that has it all. In this melting-pot of a place, one can find world renowned restaurants and chefs, historic and modern architecture, contemporary art galleries, food and street markets, boutiques, hip neighbourhoods, entertainment, vibrant green city parks, sports stadiums, and more. Your guides will greet you at the airport, and you'll drive in a private vehicle to your hotel. You'll get the rest of the day to enjoy São Paulo at your leisure!

We recommend having dinner at the Skye Bar & Restaurant at Unique Hotel (not included). Enjoy this incredible city, and welcome to Brazil!

Day 2

São Paulo City Tour

Wake up and enjoy an included breakfast at your hotel, then prepare to see the city through the lens of a resident! You'll meet your guide at the hotel and depart on a private half-day city tour (6h), passing by main city sites such as Praça da Sé, Pateo do Collegio, Theatro Municipal, Mercado Municipal, Vila Madalena, Avenida Paulista, and Parque do Ibirapuera. The tour touches on historical, cultural, social, and economic aspects of the city, teaching you about São Paulo curiosities along the way. You'll get to decide where to stop and where to have lunch, as the tour is flexible and can be customized according to your interests and per the guide’s recommendations. You'll return to the hotel with your mind full, your legs tired, and your soul happy -  enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Note: In case your first full São Paulo day falls on a Monday, most of the museums and cultural centers will be closed.

Day 3

São Paulo| Paraty

Let's hit the road! After our included breakfast, we'll meet our guide at the hotel and drive to our hotel in Paraty in a private vehicle (5-6 hours). We'll arrive and check-in, and you'll have the rest of the day to enjoy at your own leisure. Exploring the small town of Paraty is like stepping back in history. It was here that the Portuguese fleet would depart from, taking the gold extracted from Minas Gerais. The town's remarkable preservation of its historical buildings has granted it a World Heritage Site title by UNESCO. It is the only Mixed Heritage Site in Brazil, thanks to its cultural and natural importance, and its neighbour Ilha Grande.

Day 4

Paraty | Walking Tour

Today marks the start of our next epic city exploration day.

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and depart on your 2-hour private historical walking tour. Beautiful colonial architecture, streets design ahead of their time, stories of exiled Portuguese royalty and the dark past of the slave trade are just some of the ingredients that make up the rich and colourful history of Paraty. Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure, or feel free to embark on additional optional tours. The tours offered are sea kayaking the bay of Paraty, a 5 hour jeep tour, and a traditional Brazilian cooking class. These tours are not included – please book in advance!

We'll then meet our guide at the hotel and leave for our private boat trip along Paraty’s bay (5-6 hours). We'll make stops along the surrounding islands or remote beaches, according to your preferences (make sure to wear a swimsuit under your clothing, and bring a towel!). We'll return to Paraty by mid-afternoon to enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. Included on our boat tour will be coffee breaks, fruit, and lunch. We'll also have a stand-up paddleboard, masks, and snorkels available for free use.

Paraty | Rio de Janeiro

It's time to hit the road again towards the finale of our trip: Rio de Janeiro. After breakfast, we'll meet oour guide at the hotel and drive the 5-6 hour trip to Rio de Janeiro. The laid-back-atmosphere Rio de Janeiro is Brazil's most famous city, boasting attractions such as Sugar Loaf, the beach of Copacabana, and Christ the Redeemer. Relax and soak up the sun, or kick up the pace of your trip with beach soccer. Unforgettable sunsets, fascinating favelas, and an undeniable city energy await!

Day 7

Rio de Janeiro | Corcovado & Santa Teresa

Wake up to exciting, beautiful Rio de Janeiro - you're in Brazil’s most famous city. We’ll enjoy an included breakfast, then head up Corcovado Mountain to visit Christ the Redeemer. Corcovado Mountain is 710 meters of elevation, offering amazing panoramic views of the city. Christ the Redeemer, a 38m tall statue, is the most important symbol of Rio de Janeiro and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. After our incredible hike, we’ll depart to visit Santa Teresa, an old neighbourhood in Rio carrying a distinct charm with plenty of local artists living and exhibiting their work. Return to the hotel in the afternoon, which we’ll have at leisure. Breakfast and lunch are included on this day.

Day 8

Rio de Janeiro | Tour of Sugar Loaf

After our breakfast, we’ll depart with our guide for Sugar Loaf Mountain. Sugar Loaf is a trademark of Rio de Janeiro, blessed with a gorgeous location in the city. We’ll have the option of waiting in line for the cable-car up the 396-metre mountain, taking in views of Guanabara Bay, Corcovado, the Rio-Niteroi Bridge, the beach of Copacabana, Santa Cruz Fortress, and some beaches of Niteroi. Our second option would be be hiking towards Urca Hill (220 m | 40 minute trail). The first part of this hike is steep, so it can be decided if we'd like to do this at the time of - however, hiking this trail would avoid lining up for the cable-car!
